چکیده

Introduction Most body tissues are subjected to physical forces. The effects of biophysical force on bone remodeling have become increasingly evident in recent years. It is well known that extended periods of immobilization lead to bone loss. Mechanical loading is one of the few positive stimuli for bone formation, and the use of suitable exercise regimes has been proposed as being potentially of significant benefit in accelerating bone mass recovery after bed rest. In vitro and in vivo studies have shown that physical forces like load, fluid flow and electromagnetic fields can regulate the function of mesenchymal progenitor cells. For bone tissue engineering, mechanical force types like linear straining or pressure load correlate most closely to the physiologic conditions and therefore are most widely used in connection with cultivating bone cells.

Development of a Novel Three-Dimensional Biocompatible Nanofibrous Scaffold for the Expansion and Hepatogenic Differentiation of Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells

In this present study, we examined the differentiation potential of human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) into hepatocytes on a three-dimentional (3D) nanofibrous scaffold formed by Poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL), collagen and polyethersulfone (PES). The nanofiber was prepared by the electrospining technique. HBMSCs were isolated using combining gradient density centrifugation ...

Osteogenic Differentiation of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Via Osteoblast- Imprinted Substrate: In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation in Rat Model

BACKGROUND: Stem cells have great effects in clinical cell-based therapy. Accordingly, controlling the behavior and directing the fate of stem cells cultured in the laboratory is an important issue. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to evaluate osteogenic properties of adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) which differentiated toward osteogenic linage by osteoblast-imprinted substr...

Preparation and investigation of polylactic acid, calcium carbonate and polyvinylalcohol nanofibrous scaffolds for osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells

Objective(s): In this study, the effect of electrospun fiber orientation on proliferation and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) was evaluated. Materials and Methods: Aligned and random nanocomposite nanofibrous scaffolds were electrospun from polylactic acid (PLA), poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and calcium carbonate nanoparticles (nCaP). The surface morphology of prepared nanofibrou...

Healing Potential of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Cultured on a Collagen-Based Scaffold for Skin Regeneration

Background: Wound healing of burned skin remains a major goal in public health. Previous reports showed that the bone marrow stem cells were potent in keratinization and vascularization of full thickness skin wounds. Methods: In this study, mesenchymal stem cells were derived from rat adipose tissues and characterized by flowcytometry. Staining methods were used to evaluate their differentiatio...

Microstructured scaffold coated with hydroxyapatite/collagen nanocomposite multilayer for enhanced osteogenic induction of human mesenchymal stem cells†

Three dimensional microstructured scaffolds with precisely defined architectures have many promising features for tissue engineering applications, such as controllable porosity, optimal mechanical strength, and adjustable contour fitting to a tissue defect site. However, for enhanced cell adhesion and differentiation, surface modified scaffolds with bioactive agents are additionally required. I...

Designing of Human Cartilage Tissue, by Differentiation of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells With BMP-6 in Alginate Scaffold

Purpose: In the present study the effect of BMP-6 was investigated on chondrogenesis of adiposederived stem cells. Materials and Methods: Mesenchymal stem cells derived from subcutaneous adipose tissue were cultured on alginate scaffold to induce chondrogenesis in experimental group, with chondrogenic medium having BMP-6 growth factor for 3 weeks. In control group medium without BMP-6 was appli...
